I am one who actually liked a fresh, new pair of Socks, Wool, Olive Green back in the day, but when the military shifted to a 50% cotton sock, I looked for something better. Violá! Polypropylene socks wicked moisture and provided padding. The downside is that they were hot. Since discovering Sierra Whiskey’s wool Exfil Boot Sock, I’ve sent my polypropylene socks to that place the dryer sends half of each pair. Yes, sock purgatory! The Exfil keeps me dry, provides perfect padding, is hot spot and blister resistant, and so far hasn’t shrunk in the dryer!
