Why Undertac Was Built: The Origins of the Best Travel Underwear

When we set out to make the best boxer briefs in the world for the Special Operations community, we knew one thing: if they weren't good enough, we'd hear about it.

There are few groups more demanding when it comes to gear. If our underwear couldn't stand up to their expectations, there was no point bringing it to market.

So we put it in front of people we trusted.

They wore it. They tested it. They loved it.

That was the moment Undertac Underwear was born.

Why We Built It

The original idea came from frustration.

We were tired of paying premium prices for men's underwear that didn't support our lifestyle—or our anatomy—the way it should. Comfort, durability, mobility, and performance all seemed to take a back seat to marketing buzzwords.

We knew we could build something better.

More Than Just Underwear

Making quality gear is only part of the mission.

We donate a portion of every purchase to veteran-run organizations fighting human trafficking because we believe supporting good people doing meaningful work matters.

There are plenty of companies willing to market to the firearms and tactical community while quietly supporting causes that don't reflect the values of many of their customers. We aren't interested in playing both sides.

We believe in law and order, supporting military and law enforcement, and defending the freedoms that make this country worth protecting. We also believe the Second Amendment protects all the others.

Those beliefs aren't marketing—they're part of who we are.

Built Around Real-World Carry

One of the defining features of Undertac Infantry is our QR Ambi Fly—short for Quick Release Ambidextrous.

The design lets you take care of business without fighting your clothing, whether you're carrying appendix, wearing a gun belt, or running full kit.

If you've ever had to dig through layers of gear just to take a leak, you know exactly why we built it.

It's a simple solution to an annoying problem.

The Escape & Evasion Pocket

The second problem we wanted to solve was discreetly carrying essential emergency tools.

That's why we added our Escape & Evasion Pocket. It's hidden behind what appears to be nothing more than a waistband tag, allowing you to carry compact items such as:

  • Ceramic razor blade
  • Emergency cash
  • Kevlar cord
  • Handcuff key
  • Handcuff shim
  • Other small survival tools

Whether you're traveling overseas, working in high-risk environments, or simply like being prepared, having these items on your person can make all the difference.

The pocket easily holds several hundred dollars in folded cash—far better than relying on the old "money in your shoe" trick.

Always carry sharp tools responsibly and in accordance with local laws.

If you haven't already, check out our video above showing how we recommend packing the Escape & Evasion Pocket—or as we like to call it, Stuffing Your Underwear.

Built to Perform

Every pair of Undertac Infantry is made from premium modal fabric that is:

  • Naturally antibacterial
  • Ultra-lightweight
  • Cooler to the touch than cotton
  • Approximately 50% more moisture wicking than cotton
  • Anti-pilling
  • Durable
  • Fade resistant
  • Shrink resistant
  • Sustainable and biodegradable

The result is underwear that's just as comfortable on a long travel day as it is during a ruck, range session, or everyday carry.
